House Clearance case study in Ayr
A client contacted us to arrange the complete house clearance and cleaning of a four-bedroom bungalow in the suburbs of Ayr. He had recently bought the property but the former owners had left it full of furniture and effects which he needed to clear so he could refurbish and redecorate the property. The refurbishment was to include a new bathroom and kitchen so we were asked to clear them of all fittings and fixtures.
The client also asked us to tidy up the garden because a lot of rubbish had accumulated in it.
Ayr House Clearance Overview
We arrived at 7.30 am and parked our vehicles in the large driveway. It was a spacious street in a quiet, residential part of the city and there was very little traffic. We commenced work immediately, starting in the garden where we cleared all the rubbish which included broken play equipment, plastic plant pots and miscellaneous junk. Once we’d cleared up, we then cut back the overgrown shrubbery, tidied the flower beds and mowed the lawn.
We then moved indoors and removed all of the furniture, including some large items that required a few members of the team to lift. We removed all of the white goods from the kitchen and the furniture from upstairs, which included the beds, a few chests of drawers, three cupboards and a couple of desks. We got a plumber in to disconnect the bathroom and kitchen fittings and the mains water and then removed the fittings.
We gave the property a light clean to make it look presentable. By the time we had finished it was coming up to 6 o’clock.
Disposal of Ayr House Clearance Contents
We shredded all of the garden waste that could be composted and placed it in a compost bin. Some of the rubbish from the garden was not recyclable or reusable so we had to send this to landfill, but fortunately it was not too much. We were able to reuse much of the furniture because it was in a good condition, so this was donated to various charitable organisations in the Ayr area.

After we had finished the house clearance, the client inspected the job and was very happy with our work. He said he’d be able to get the builders and decorators in the next week.
