House Clearance Perth

Case study for a house clearance in the Perth area

Perth House Clearance Requirements

Our client in this case was the owner of a four-bedroomed detached house from the Victorian era, surrounded by a large garden and set in Perth. He had owned it for some years and had been renting it out furnished, but now wanted to sell up as he and his family were emigrating to Australia. The house had been at the upper end of the rental market, and it was well-furnished with some antiques and other modern items from the likes of John Lewis and Heals.

The client wanted us to clear out all the furniture and to put some of the antiques, which he planned to ship to Australia, into storage. The remaining antiques and the modern furniture were to go to auction, while the white goods from the kitchen, including the gas cooker were to go to a secondhand electrical goods shop. The tenants had left the house already, and there were no personal effects to remove. We were to leave the house clean and tidy, ready for viewing by prospective buyers.

Perth House Clearance Overview

This property was located in a pleasant, peaceful area of the city and it had a large driveway where we were able to park our vehicles when we arrived at 7.30 a.m. We first packed and removed the antique furniture that was destined for storage and delivered it to the secure unit nearby. Then we took the other furniture and delivered it to the auction house. In the afternoon, the Gas Safe registered engineer arrived and disconnected the gas cooker. We then delivered all of the white goods to the secondhand shop.

The client had asked us to steam clean the carpets which we did once all the furniture was gone. We were also asked to remove the curtains and deliver them to a dry cleaner. We did this job last, and we’d finished the entire clearance by 5 p.m.

Perth Disposal of Contents

This was an unusual house clearance for us in that the client had already decided how he wanted the contents of the house disposed of, so we simply had to follow his instructions. Usually we have to work a lot harder to ensure that nothing goes to landfill, which is always our aim.

Perth Client Comments

The client inspected the property at the end of the day and said that we had done a “great job”. He emailed us a fortnight later to say that he’d already sold the house, thanks in no small part to our hard work, which had left the property looking its best.
